Starting at the Greenmyres Eco Bothy follow the newly constructed path to Greenmyres pond, and follow the right side of the pond until you reach a path heading towards the forest on the far side. Take this path until you arrive at a junction turning left into Gartly Moor. Take this path and follow it through the trees and onto a forest road until you reach a T Junction.
Take a right at the junction then an immediate left . Follow this road up over the hill, ignoring all other junctions for 2.5 km until reaching the bottom of the hill. Once here take the left road and follow it for 3.5 km, all the way to the Gartly Moor main car park.
From here take the track to the left of the one you just came from and follow this track uphill until, eventually, reconnecting to the road you came in on . Alternatively, take the second left and follow the track around the north of Wishach Hill arriving at point 6. Turn right here and retrace your steps back to Greenmyres.
