Start at the Dunbennan Wood entrance just off the Huntly to Dufftown road (A920). If you are travelling by car be sure not to block the entrance to the woods.
Head into the woods turning right once you reach a junction (1) and carry on down this track until you reach another junction. (2) Turn left and follow this road 400m until reaching another junction. (3)
Here you can either carry on for a shorter route, or head up right and take the track travelling around Dunbennan hill. Once you hit a junction turn right (4) then right again and you will be on the road back to the entrance.
